A Digital Prayer

Lord of Light, I can count on my digits the few times I tripped a shutter without a sense of awesome imitation in copying your Creation.

Bless the lively and the lifeless who raced through my lens like lightning through the night.  Bless the famous and the rest of us.  Have mercy on the infamous.

Bless the Earth and the Heavens, all things titanic and tiny that caught my eye for an instant.

Bless the beasts, the children, the flowers and the fields so vivid and varied as I framed them finally.

See me fold my hands in prayer for scientists, inventors, technicians, artists, teachers, colleagues and benefactors who facilitated these reflections in emulsions and pixels.

Bless them all as I review their images, with a snappy salute to the Guardian Angel you assigned to accompany me on my photo journeys.
